MILTON KEYNES JUNIOR LEAGUE 2010 - ROUND 3 TRAINING, VENUES & TIMINGS

All swimmers who have been selected to swim in the Milton Keynes League Round 3 on the 11th September are required to attend a special training session on Monday 6th September 6.45pm - 7.45pm at Windsor Leisure Centre. JOY POULTER TO RETIRE AS HEAD OF TEACHING

It is with a mixture of pride and sadness that we announce that Joy Poulter has decided to retire as Windsor Swimming Club's Head of Teaching. Sadness of course because Joy has brought so much to the Club over many many years, and stamped her personality on the teaching groups over that time; but also pride on her behalf because of all that has been achieved by the Club over these years, and of which Joy has been a constant part and a major contributor. The precise date for Joy's departure will be dependent on when we are able to secure a successor with the qualities to take forward our Learn to Swim Programme at the same or even higher level, and you may have seen that we have already begun that process. Nearer the time we will have the opportunity to say goodbye to Joy formally, but in the meantime it is business as usual as we enjoy the remainder of the summer and prepare for the start of a new term and exciting new challenges for all at Windsor Swimming Club. WSC OPEN MEET 2010 LEVEL 2 - REPORT & PHOTOS

During the weekend of Jan 23-24th Windsor Swimming Club hosted its annual Level 2 Open Meet at the Magnet Leisure Centre. A total of 16 clubs participated and some fantastic swimming was enjoyed by a large crowd of enthusiastic spectators. The Windsor swimmers had a very successful weekend and won an impressive 15 gold medals, 16 silver medals and 22 bronze medals. Photos are also available courtesy of Nigel keene with all proceeds going to the Club.

WSC Centenary Open Meet

Overall WSC won 70 medals; 32 gold’s, 23 silvers and 15 bronze. Top Visiting Club was awarded to BASINGSTOKE BLUE FINS. Top Female Swimmer:- Sally Chui from Basingstoke Blue Fins and Top Male Swimmer from WSC Alistair Bingham 12years.
