Important Announcements
I'm pleased to announce that we have two new members of the Club Committee, who have stepped forward to help in response to the recent vacancy announcement on this website.
Maria Burton and John Munday will both join the Committee with effect from the beginning of December. Both John and Maria will be known to many of you - John is a keen and competitive Masters swimmer and Maria has been one of the team running the the Club shop over the last year . It's a great pleasure to be able to welcome to the committee two such enthusiastic and committed members . Besides contributing to the general management decision making for the Club, each will have a specific area of responsibility : Maria has recently taken on the role of Level 3 Meet Promoter and John will apply his energies to helping us win sponsorship to support our club finances. In each case they can't do this alone , and as always I want to extend the call for anyone who can , to join with them to help tackle these important challenges. On another note, I'm sorry to announce that Chris Glover has decided to step down as Junior Head Coach with effect from January 7th. Chris has been an important member of the WSC Coaching staff for over a year, we will be making a further announcement shortly about future arrangements for the Junior Competitive Squad for which he has been responsible. I'm sure you will want to join Matt and I, and the members of the Committee, in thanking Chris for all he has contributed during his time with us, and wishing him well for the future.
