- Club Records shall be kept for all the 9 & Under, 11 & Under, 13 & Under, 15 & Under and Open Age Groups. Ages will be as at 31st December.
- Records will be classed as Short Course (25m Pools) and Long Course (50m Pools).
- Records will be awarded for the Strokes/Events as set out in the Club records Schedule. New Strokes/Events may be added to this schedule as/when this is in line with National/District policy. Where Strokes/Events are no longer included the existing records will be maintained.
- The Team Manager will maintain details of Club records, and will consider a request for recognition of a Club record if it was achieved under the conditions defined in items 7–10 below. Any such request must be made within three months of the event.
- If a member disagrees with the Team Manager’s decision not to recognise a Club Record, the Club will consider an appeal made in writing to the Club Secretary within one month of the initial decision being given to the member.
- Club Records for all age groups and events for both Short course and Long course records shall be displayed on the clubs website and updated regularly.
- Club Record Certificates will be awarded to all swimmers setting new records and to swimmers who equal existing records. Swimmers who equal and or set new records in both heats and final of a competition will be awarded separate certificates for each. Joint holders of Club Records will be included in the Official Club Records Sheets displayed on the Club notice boards with the original holder named first. Where relevant New Club Records shall be applied to all Age Groups above that of the swimmer achieving them and additional certificates awarded.
- Club Records may be set by any swimmer who has been a fully paid up member of WSC for at least two months, and is first claim to Windsor at the time of the swim. Records may be set in the Windsor Club Championships, Inter-Club Galas organised or attended by Windsor Swimming Club, in Licensed Meets, County, Regional, or National Age/Youth Championship Competitions, where the swimmer is competing in the name of Windsor Swimming Club. In addition, times achieved by a swimmer in official County, Regional, National or International events may also be accepted for Club Record purposes. All events must be held under ASA or FINA Law and technical rules.
- Club Records may not be set in time trials except those achieved at an ASA Licensed Meet.
- Times for consideration as new Club Records shall only be taken by hand held electronic timers or by Automatic Officiating Equipment.
- The 1st leg of a relay will be accepted but times must be based on electronic timing at County, Regional and National levels.
