FABIAN WHITBREAD WINS BRONZE
We can not stress enough how well Fabian Whitbread, Alex Farrell & Florence Claringbold have performed at this years Nationals.
Fabian won a Bronze medal in the 14 y/o 1500m Freestyle, and qualified for the 400m Ind Medley Final finishing just outside the medals in 4th. On the last day he set a new club record when qualifying 4th fastest for the 200m Breaststroke Final, but sadly in what will be his last swim wearing a WSC cap, the seal on his goggles gave way and after just one length was forced to stop. Fabian is now off to join Plymouth Leander, we wish him good luck, and we will keep track of his future sucesses.
Alex (11 y/o) was enjoying his first year as a National qualifier and has performed beyond everyone's expectations qualifying for no less than 5 Finals finishing 4th 100m Backstroke & 9th 200m Backstroke, 10th in 100m Freestyle & 9th in 200m Freestyle, 10th in 200m Ind Medley.
Florence (11 y/o) also a novice National qualifier, qualified 4th fastest for the 100m Breaststroke Final where she finished an excellent 7th, Florence also finished 13th in the 200m Breaststroke.
