Report by: Katarina Jemielity The British Gas ASA Age Group National Championships in Sheffield are now in full swing and 6 swimmers from Windsor Swimming Club have showed some good performances during the first 2 days of competition. Alistair Bingham (13) was the first swimmer to take to the water in the 200 meters breaststroke event and swam a strong race in a new personal best time of 2.50.95 placing in 25th place. In the 200 meters backstroke event Lucy Campbell (13) swam convincingly and ended up in 24th place in a new personal best time of 2.30.54. Alex Farrell (13) swam in the 100 meters backstroke finished in 11th place just missing out, on a place in the finals in a new personal best time of 1.06.60. In the 4x100 meters freestyle relay the Windsor girls: Florence Claringbold, Alexandra Kaye, Lucy Campbell and Rebecca Dutfield put in a great performance and managed to end up in 18th place with a finishing time of 4.17.58.
