NATIONALS 2009 - REPORT 3

Amy McVeigh, Celeste Lindeque and Kevin Mitchell are the 3 swimmers that so far have been representing Windsor Swimming Club at the British GAS ASA National Youth and Open Championships in Sheffield. Amy McVeigh (16) and Celeste Lindeque (14) both raced in the 200 meters and the 100 meters backstroke events. Amy raced well and in the 100 meters backstroke and up against some very strong competition in the 16/17 years age group and finished in 8th place in a new personal best time of 1.04.82. Celeste Lindeque swam in the 200 backstroke and came away with a new personal best time of 2.28.75 and in the 100 meters backstroke she was just outside her personal best time in 1.08.57. Kevin Mitchell (15) raced in the 400 meters freestyle in a new personal best time of 2.25.47.

 

Jonathan Naish (17) and the 4x100 medley relay team; Amy McVeigh, Lucy Rigby, Antonia Knowles and Nadia Farrugia will also be racing at these National Championships in the next few days.
