The last 2 days of the British Gas ASA Age group Championships in Sheffield saw some good swims from thirteen year old Alistair Bingham. In the 200 meters backstroke event, Alistair acheived a new personal best time of 2.24.76 finishing in 21st place. In the very tough 400 meters Individual Medley event Alistair lowered his personal best time by 4 seconds to 5.14.43 which placed him 19th. Florence Claringbold, also age 13, raced in the 100 meters breaststroke event, unfortunately after swimming a 2 second personal best time, it was discovered that Florence had moved at the start causing her to be disqualified.
