CELESTE LINDEQUE & ALEX FARRELL SECURE 2 MORE NATIONAL QFT

At the "No Frills" Meet, CELESTE LINDEQUE (13) added her name to the list of National Qualifiers, by achieving a lifetimes best in the girls 13/Under 100m Backstroke with a time of 1:11.19. ALEX FARRELL also added the boys 100m Freestyle to his list of National QFT's. COUNTY BARN DANCE

Each year Berks & Sth Bucks hold a barn dance, and this year they have asked if the senior swimmers from each club in the county would like to attend. THE ABILITY TO DANCE IS NOT NECESSARY - EVERYONE IS WELCOME. More...

BOYS YOUTH RELAY TEAM WIN SILVER IN REGIONALS 2008

Tom Norgate (54s), Jonnie Naish (56s), Dan Sheehy (56s) & Jamie Bullen (56s) took 2nd place in the 1st session in the boys youth relay 4 x 100m Freestyle. The top 20 relay teams in the country will compete at the Nationals in July, but the boys will have to wait to see if their time is one of the top 20? Amy McVeigh finished Region Champion in the female 50m Backstroke, while Anna Jemielity also won a Gold in the female 200m Ind Medley, and there was a another medal for the boys in the 4 x 200m Freestyle Relay. SOUTH EAST REGIONS 2008

PLEASE ENSURE YOU HAND YOUR "AGE GROUP" ENTRY FORMS IN TO MICHELLE KNOWLES ASAP. Congratulations to those swimmers who have achieved Regional Automatic & Base Qualifying times so far, here is a list of those swimmers. WORLD MASTERS SWIMMER JOHN KNOWLES DOWN UNDER

Windsor's masters swimmer JOHN KNOWLES is currently in Australia performing in the World Masters. In his first swim John has achieved a pb in the Mens 100m Freestyle finishing 10th in a time of 56.30, in the 200m Freestyle he finished 11th in a time of 2:11.53, and has finished 17th in 50m Freestyle with a time of 26.24. CRAWLEY SPRING LC OPEN MEET

3 more long course club records fell at Crawley's Open Meet on Saturday/Sunday 19th/20th April. First to fall was the Boys 200m Butterfly, with Tom Norgate finishing 3rd in a time of 2:14.71. Next to tumble was the Girls 50m Backstroke, with Amy McVeigh producing a 32.30, and finally it was the turn of Antonia Knowles taking the girls open record in the 50m butterfly. More...

2008 BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIPS

Senior Boys Club Captain Tom Norgate was in sparkling form producing a lifetimes best, beating his previous best by 1.5 secs, and improving his own club record with a superb 57.21. Tom is the first WSC swimmer to go under the 58 mark, and in doing so finished 26th overall. NEW MEMBER SIMON BURNETT HAS BEEN SELECTED FOR THE 2008 OLYMPIC 4 x 100 GB FREESTYLE RELAY TEAM. More...

2008 NATIONAL QUALIFIERS

At Crawley's Open Meet Alex Farrell added both the 100m Backstroke and 200m Ind Medley to his list of National Qualifying times. In January at Swansea's New Year Dragon Meet , 16 Year Old TOM NORGATE qualified for the British Championships and National Championships when setting a new club record in the 100m Butterfly.
